Welcome to the Green Mountain Payroll site!

Special Announcement - We are very sorry to report that our Founder of the Green Mountain Payroll Association, Lorraine Dufresne Tolman passed away on February 19th. She was the founder and creator of the GMPA, and was instrumental in GMPA remaining an active chapter since 1994. She led the charge in getting GMPA recognized on a state level. She was recognized by Governor Shumlin in 2014 as providing a much needed service to the payroll community. She will be sorely missed by the many friends she made at the Green Mountain Payroll Association and The New England Payroll Association as well. We will miss her inspiration and joyfulness.

To honor Lorraine's accomplishments, the APA would like to include a memorial article on her and focus on her involvement with the APA and the Green Mountain Chapter. We are looking for people to help provide quotes about how involved she was in establishing the Green Mountain Chapter.  We'd love to hear about any stories people have concerning Lorraine.  If you have something that you would like to share, please email president@greenmountpayroll.org.  We will be putting these together later this month.  If you can please get that information to us by the 24th of this month, that would be very helpful.

We also ask that if you know of any past members that may not be receiving this email, that you share this with them and ask if they are willing to contribute any special memory they have of Lorraine.

We are a statewide networking organization for Payroll Professionals. Please consider joining our organization to utilize the benefits of membership which include professional networking meetings featuring speakers on various topics, opportunities for member surveys, Q&A with all members via emails and access to many resources through APA. We also host an annual conference bringing in speakers from all over VT and Nationally to help our members stay on top of all the changes in the laws, hear about best practices, and earn CPP credits.

We always encourage members to bring guests and to reach out to other payroll professionals to let them know about our Association.  We now are asking all of our members and GUESTS to rsvp and register for our meetings through our website. Guests pay $5 for a regular meeting and more for any special events.
